Sara was born in Coimbra, Portugal, and for her, singing has never been simply a form of expression. It is part of who she is.

“Singing is an extension of who I am, the nourishment of my soul. It is a longing that never fades, a Love that is never forgotten. Singing is life, Light and Solace, on days dressed in colour and on days dressed in grey. Singing is happiness, joy and passion; it is being able to give others the very best of me, with all my heart.”

She discovered her passion for music through her father’s vinyl records. By the age of four, she was already singing along to songs by Europe, Bon Jovi, Heart and Tina Turner — some of the earliest influences behind a connection with rock that would remain with her throughout her life.

At nine, she learned her first piano chords and began taking part in her school’s music festivals. By fourteen, largely self-taught, she started accompanying herself on classical guitar while singing. It was also around this time that she performed Whitney Houston’s One Moment in Time in public for the first time, at a school talent competition. From that moment on, she knew that music would inevitably be part of her path.

At sixteen, Sara joined an original band, where she also began writing and composing some of the songs.

A few years later, she moved to Lisbon to study Design Architecture, where she remained for six years. During that period, music inevitably took a back seat, but it was never truly forgotten.

In 2004, encouraged by her father, Sara entered a regional talent competition in Condeixa, going on to win the final held in July of that year.

She completed her studies in 2007 and, the following year, began working professionally as an Interior Designer, while simultaneously finding her way back to the world of music — her greatest passion.

In 2008, Sara formed her own rock covers band, finally finding a space on stage where she could fully explore her lifelong love of rock through iconic songs from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and 2000s.

In 2011, she ventured into the world of television for the first time, competing in the first edition of A Voz de Portugal on RTP1, where she reached the Battle Rounds.

Two years later, in September 2013, she challenged herself once again by entering the first edition of Factor X on SIC — an experience she describes as “the experience of a lifetime”, and a true test of herself both as a singer and as a person.

With rock running through her veins, Sara was the only female singer to make it through in the Adult Category, mentored by Sónia Tavares, lead singer of The Gift. Her journey took her all the way to the sixth live show, leaving her with a deep sense of pride in what became one of the most defining experiences of her career.

From that point on, music firmly took its place at the heart of her life — her lifelong companion.

In 2018, she met the musicians who continue to share the stage with her today. Through concerts, shows and events, Sara has performed on stages across Portugal, bringing with her a powerful, charismatic voice and a stage presence defined by energy and a genuine connection with her audience.

But the journey that began in her teenage years, when she first started writing and composing her own songs, was eventually ready for a new chapter.

On May 1st, 2026, Sara released “H2O”, her first officially released original song, marking the beginning of a new phase in her career as a singer-songwriter.

After so many years of giving her voice to the songs that had been part of her own story, the time had come to give voice to her own words, emotions and stories.

“H2O” is only the beginning. New original music is already on the way, continuing an increasingly personal and authentic chapter in her artistic journey.

For Sara, the audience that continues to follow, support and embrace her remains the fuel that drives her to step onto new stages and keep doing what she loves most: writing, composing and singing!
