BIOGRAFY

Sara was born in Coimbra. She says: "Singing is an extension of me, the nourishment of my soul. It is a longing that never disappears, it is love that is never forgotten. Singing is life, light, and solace on days dressed in color, on days dressed in gray! Singing is being happiness—it is joy and passion, it is being able to give others the best of me with all my heart."

She discovered her passion for music through her father's vinyl records. At the age of 4, she was already mouthing along to songs by Europe, Bon Jovi, Heart, and Tina Turner. At 9, she learned her first piano chords—and that’s when she began taking part in her school’s song festivals. At 14, self-taught, she started trying to accompany herself on classical guitar while singing. She performed and interpreted, for the first time in public, Whitney Houston’s "One Moment In Time" in a school talent contest—and from that moment, she realized that music was her path.

At 16, she became part of an original band where she wrote and composed some of the songs. A few years later, she moved to Lisbon to study Design Architecture, where she stayed for 6 years. Inevitably, music took a backseat during those years of study.

In 2004, influenced by her father, she entered a regional talent contest in Condeixa. The final round took place in July of that year, and she won! In 2007, she finished her studies and, in 2008, she began working as an Interior Designer—a profession she pursued while returning to the world of music, her great passion.

In 2008, she formed her own rock covers band, where she had the opportunity to explore all the love she felt for rock, performing iconic songs from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and '00s.

In 2011, she ventured into television for the first time by competing in the first edition of "A Voz de Portugal" (RTP 1), reaching the Battle Rounds. Then, in September 2013, she tried her luck again by entering the first edition of "Factor X" (SIC)—an experience she describes as "the experience of her life," the true test of her abilities as both a singer and a person. With rock running through her veins, Sara was the only female voice to advance in the Adult Category, led by Sónia Tavares, the lead singer of The Gift. She performed in the 6th live gala, and she is proud of her entire journey.

Since then, her life has revolved around music—her great life partner! In 2018, she met the musicians with whom she still shares the stage today. From covers to original songs, she participates in all kinds of events, touring stages all across the country. With a powerful and charismatic voice, she says that the audience that follows and adores her is the fuel that keeps her going to do what she loves most—sing!
